ScribeFire blogging add-on for Firefox

Filed under: Uncategorized — vaughnsphotoart @ 9:35 am

ScribeFire is a blogging add-on for Firefox, and it’s a tremendous piece of software. It allows you to set up accounts from different blog systems, and post to them all from one interface. It has a WYSIWYG editor, categories/tags, post history, and lots more. The degree of support for each blog system varies, but I use Scribefire to post to:

  • Livejournal
  • Blogger.com/Blogspot
  • WordPress
  • Windows Live Spaces
  • Myspace

And it supports other systems in addition to these.

The BIG problem with Scribefire right now is there is no documentation. When the project was taken over by it’s new owner, they killed all the old content, and haven’t replaced it with new. This is a terrible shame, because once you know how to use it, it’s good stuff. As it is, I had to scrape through the old forum posts at performancing.com to figure out a couple of the account setups.

To help rememdy this situation, I’ve created the following document, detailing how to set up Scribefire for all the blog systems I use:
